Privacy Policy

Pilot version. Short on purpose.

• What we store: your name, email, a password hash, your location (the address you typed or your device position) and the posts and claims you make.
• Who sees it: posters see only your name when you claim their food. Eaters see a poster's pickup address for food within 2 km. Visitors see no addresses.
• Maps: to turn an address into a position we send it to OpenStreetMap's geocoder.
• Cookies: one essential cookie keeps you signed in. It is read only by this site, never shared. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics. Your browser also remembers small things like a closed notice, on your device only.
• Security: passwords are stored only as a salted hash, traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), and sign-in tokens can be revoked by changing your password.
• No ads, no selling data.
• Delete your data: write to hello@stanbuy.app.
